Loyd Pohl is the Chief Executive Officer of Pohl Consulting and Training, Inc., a financial services consulting and training firm he has led since purchasing it in 2000. Today, Pohl Consulting and Training has over 200 clients in 42 different states, ranging from startup trust departments and companies to large regional trust organizations.
Loyd’s banking career began in 1981, and he began consulting in 1992, giving him more than 40 years of direct experience in financial services organizations, including bank trust departments, wealth management groups, and commercial lending operations.
He oversees the firm’s six practice areas: sales training for trust officers and wealth advisors, client experience development, trust benchmarking, trust department profitability improvement, trust organization startup consulting, and trust compliance and risk management. He also oversees the firm’s proprietary benchmarking products — Trustcompare, Pricecompare, and Compcompare — and its affiliated organization, Wealth Management Compliance Alliance.

He is a graduate of the Prochnow Institute Graduate School of Banking and holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Agribusiness Economics from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
