Blake Williams

Director, Client Technology Services

Blake Williams leads Pohl Consulting and Training’s technology services practice, helping bank trust departments, trust companies, RIAs, broker dealers, and credit unions navigate technology decisions, system selections, and operational transitions. He joined the firm in 2026 and brings more than 30 years of financial services technology experience to client engagements.

His work at Pohl spans the full technology environment relevant to trust and wealth management organizations: FIS core trust accounting systems (Charlotte, AddVantage, TrustDesk, GlobalPlus), portfolio management (FIS Investors View, SS&C EZE OMS, AllVue Black Mountain Systems) and trading platforms, performance reporting, regulatory systems, and the overlay solutions that connect them. He has particular expertise in trust accounting system selection, technology stack assessment, the transition from in-house to outsourced operations models, and vendor contract negotiation.

Blake brings a practitioner’s understanding of how technology vendors price, structure proposals, and negotiate agreements — having spent his career on the vendor side before moving to consulting. That background allows him to develop RFPs aligned to institutional needs, write statements of work and master service agreements, and negotiate contracts for engagements ranging from system due diligence and renewals to platform consolidations and department mergers. He has led several start up (DeNovo) projects, A Myriad of Conversions from systems like Accutech Gold, Infovisa Maui, FiTek Trust Reporter. He also led super regional bank trust department mergers like Cadence and Encore.

Prior to joining Pohl, Blake held senior roles at SS&C Eze, a global provider of investment management software to financial institutions, and at Allvue Systems, a provider of software solutions for credit and private equity organizations. His broader career includes technology sales and solutions roles across FinTech SaaS, business process outsourcing, and financial services infrastructure. Blake has spoken at Bank Automation Summit on the topic of ai in financial services.

Blake holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with emphasis on accounting and German from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, and holds certifications in networking and software licensing.
